Police Blotter: Packages Stolen from Area Residences

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

Two packages, containing clothing, shoes and a purse, were stolen from a Thornapple Drive residence, a man reported at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 15. He had delivery confirmation and tracking information showing it had arrived.

A mail carrier reported at 2:21 p.m. Dec. 14 that packages he delivered in the area of Oakwood Drive were missing. He saw a silver van parked the wrong way in a driveway and thought it was suspicious. Police said the man works for a cleaning crew and was working at the house.

Mutual aid was requested in Highland Heights at 2:27 a.m. Dec. 16. A patron left a bar and then returned and started pounding on the door of the Wilson Mills Road business.

A suspicious man was spotted behind a SOM Center Road business at 10:24 p.m. Dec. 15. He said he was reading advertisements on a brick wall.

A Hickory Hill Drive woman called at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 and was scared because something broke through the living room window. Her husband returned and told police it was a tree.

Callers at about 2 p.m. Dec. 15 reported that a middle aged man in a black coat with a flag on the back was going up to customers at a SOM Center Road business with a hardship story of cancer and asking for money. Police told the man that he can't ask people for money.
