Police Blotter: Officers Break Up Fight at Ice Rink

Police were called to Gilmour Academy at 7:42 p.m. Feb. 19 for a fight at the ice rink. The combatants were a 59-year-old man from Beaver Falls, PA. and a 45-year-old man from Davisburg, MI. Both were charged with disorderly conduct.

A 911 caller at 7:07 a.m. Feb. 13 reported a car being driven in an erratic manner on Mayfield Road. An officer stopped the car on Chagrin River Road and talked to the driver, a 48-year-old Chardon woman. She was experiencing a medical condition and was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment.

An Epping Road resident called at 8:05 a.m. Feb. 16 after hearing a loud bang and having an alarm activated. Officers checked and the cause of the noise was ice falling from the roof of the house.

An accident was reported at 9:03 a.m. Feb. 17 on Mayfield Road. There were no injuries in the two-car crash. One of the drivers, a 31-year-old Maple Heights man, was cited for failing to stop in an assured clear distance ahead.
