Police Blotter: Novelty Woman Cited After Flipping Car

A 911 caller said a car rolled over at 11:01 a.m. Feb. 17 on Chagrin River Road near Riverview Road and the driver was trapped inside. Police, fire and EMS were sent to the scene and pulled the 57-year-old Novelty woman from the car. She was taken to Hillcrest Hospital and later cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of her vehicle.

A 31-year-old Willoughby man was stopped for speeding at 2:12 p.m. Feb. 14 on Brigham Road. The driver's license had been suspended and he was cited for excessive speed, no driver's license and driving while under suspension.

A school bus and a car were involved in an accident at 4:07 p.m. Feb. 14 on Hillcreek Lane. There were no injuries. The bus driver, a 25-year-old Mentor man, was cited for improper backing.

A Robinwood Lane resident filed a fraud report at 4:51 p.m. Feb. 15. An unknown person took money from the complainant's checking account between December 2010 and January 2011.
