Police Blotter: Neighbors in Apartment Have Toilet Trouble

A Mayfield Road man called at 8:45 p.m. Jan. 20 about neighbor trouble. He said a woman living in the apartment above continually accuses him of making noise. The woman told police that the man constantly flushes his toilet at the same time she does and she wanted him to stop. An officer told her that the man has the right to use his toilet and to stop banging on the man's door.

A woman called at 6:28 p.m. Jan. 21 and said she was approached at Golden Gate shopping center by a man and woman who offered to pay her $350 to $400 to have sex with them. She declined and went into a store. Police were unable to locate the couple.

A car crashed into snow mounds at 1:06 a.m. Jan. 22 at Golden Gate shopping center. The driver was able to get the car out of the snow.

A Mayfield Road woman called at 2:56 p.m. Jan. 22 and said she was assaulted by her girlfriend the previous day.

A North Olmsted woman called police at 6:14 p.m. Jan. 22 and said her daughter sent a text that she was being held at gunpoint in a SOM Center Road apartment building. She said two men with her had guns and drugs and would not let her leave. Police talked to the woman, who denied sending any text messages.

A Marsol Road man called at 12:43 a.m. Jan. 23 and said a neighbor chased his girlfriend down the hall in what he suspected was an attempt to rob her. Another resident of the building also called police and said a man was pounding on her door. Police said that man probably frightened the other caller's girlfriend.

A Fruitland Avenue woman said at 7:26 a.m. Jan. 21 that she was using a snowblower when a man came outside and started threatening and throwing things at her. He also said he was going to hurt her dog. She wanted to talk to an officer about the problem.
