Police Blotter: Neighbor Apologizes for Plow Driver's Mistake

A Temple Avenue resident reported having problems with a neighbor at 8:59 a.m. Feb. 25. She said the neighbor's snow plow driver dumps snow on her lawn and the neighbor also has cut her fence in the middle of the night. Police said the neighbor apologized for the plow driver's error.

Two people were trying to get a fire extinguisher out of a case at a SOM Center Road apartment building at 10:33 p.m. Feb. 26 and wound up pulling the entire case off of the wall before they ran away.

A GPS unit was stolen from a car Feb. 27 on Elmwood Avenue.

A woman called at 12:05 p.m. Feb. 25 to report that a semi ran her off the road on Interstate 271 in the area of Interstate 90 and Route 91. Then truck was headed toward Mentor and Mentor police were contacted. The woman called back and said she had actually been struck by the semi and a taillight was cracked.

A Ridgebury Boulevard man called police at 6:03 p.m. Feb. 24 because his future ex-wife showed up at his house. Police told him that since they are not legally divorced and there are no court orders keeping her from the residence, that he should contact his attorney.

A Woodrow Avenue resident called at 11:51 a.m. Feb. 22 to ask police to watch for speeders, especially around 5 p.m. He said it's an ongoing problem and offered to let police park in his driveway.

A nurse called at 11:42 a.m. Feb. 22 and said she was treating a woman who said she was sexually assaulted Feb. 10 in her Marsol Road apartment.

A transformer blew at 6:26 a.m. Feb. 21 on Gates Mills Boulevard and numerous lines were reported down.

A woman said a man in a light green car spit on her car in a road rage incident at 2:08 p.m. Feb. 21 on Mayfield Road. Police told the people to stay away from each other.
