Police Blotter: Multiple Thefts at Progressive

Several women have reported having credit cards and cash stolen from their purses from July 30 through Aug. 10 at . Charges have been made to the cards at various local businesses including in Mayfield Heights with usage also occurring in Lyndhurst.
DUI: A woman was arrested for a DUI after she was discovered knocking on doors on Aintree Rd. during the late evening of Aug. 12. Officers found her car parked on the street and later found her in a garage area. She didn’t know where her car was located, but she did have the keys on her. After being taken into custody, police placed a spit mask on her. She demanded it be taken off and police removed it and put her in a holding cell.
Accident: A man was charged with not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead in a two-car accident that yielded no injuries on Wilson Mills Rd. the afternoon of Aug. 6.

Up in smoke: An employee at said three teenage boys were hanging out near the front door of the store and thought they were attempting to get someone to buy them cigarettes the morning of Aug. 8. The boys admitted to trying to get someone to buy them cigarettes. Police told them not to come back.
Bad checks: A landscaping company reported receiving bad checks the evening of Aug. 8.

Accident: A man was charged with not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead in a two-car accident that yielded no injuries at the intersection of Alpha Dr. and Wilson Mills Rd., the evening of Aug. 8.
Dispute: Police broke up an argument between a man and woman standing outside of a vehicle in front of during the early morning of Aug. 11. Police discovered the man had an outstanding warrant in Willowick. Police held him until Willowick Police arrived to pick him up.
