Police Blotter: Missing Grandson Found Sleeping at College

A man came into the police station at 9:43 a.m. May 9 to report that his grandson was missing. He had gone out to the Flats and didn't return. Police said the grandson is a student at Kent State University and has an apartment there. An employee at the condos talked to the grandson's roommate, who woke him up and told him to call his grandfather.

A woman was arrested at 8:10 p.m. May 9 on Commonwealth Avenue. A car had been involved in a hit-skip accident on Wilson Mills Road in Highland Heights and it was registered at the Commonwealth address.

Someone took sidewalk chalk and wrote foul language on the floor, picnic tables and pavilion at the city park on May 8.

A caller said three boys were shooting a BB gun, possibly at birds and squirrels, at 6:45 p.m. on Golden Gate Boulevard. Police talked to the boys and they agreed to take the BB guns inside.

An elevator was stuck with six persons inside at 11:45 a.m. May 7 at a SOM Center Road apartment building. Building management had them out of the elevator before fire department personnel arrived.
