Police Blotter: Man Worried TV Might be Next Victim of Violence

A man came to the police station at 9:55 a.m. Oct. 1 to document a domestic violence incident with his wife. He was also concerned that she would damage a recently purchased television.

A woman at the police station at 4:57 p.m. Sept. 29 said an elderly couple on Marnell Avenue were selling a car and two suspicious looking men were looking at it.

A SOM Center Road man came to the police station at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and said his wife opened a credit card account without his knowledge. He was told it is a civil matter.

The owner of Mayfield Road business called police at 12:08 p.m. Sept. 29 and said two employees had an argument and one pulled out a knife. That man left, but had returned. Police told him he was no longer permitted in the store.

A Mayfield Road auto repair business called at 8:31 a.m. Sept. 29 and said a customer was given her car and she promised to come back to pay her $800 bill. That was two weeks ago, police were told. Police said it's a civil matter.

A Fruitland Avenue man called police at 2:37 a.m. Sept. 29 and said there were several juveniles in his yard and they woke him up. Police checked the area and were unable to find the juveniles.

A Mayfield Road woman said her 22-year-old son was causing a disturbance at 10:08 p.m. Sept. 28. He threatened to hit her and threw her phone off of the balcony so she couldn't call police. The son was charged with domestic violence and disrupting public service.
