Police Blotter: Man Worried Car Might be Towed Away as Junk

A man told police at 11:05 p.m. Oct. 30 that he hit a pole in a Mayfield Road parking lot and damaged his truck. He was concerned because he left the truck in the parking lot at a friend's apartment building and thought it might be towed because of the damage.

A Mayfield Boulevard woman called police at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 31 after receiving a call from someone claiming to be from a credit card company and wanting personal information. She knew it was a scam, but still wanted to talk to an officer about it.

A woman said at 1:54 p.m. Oct. 30 that she fell into a hole left behind the water department left behind on SOM Center Road and broke her wrist. Police checked on there were no holes around the area. After talking to the woman, the officer said the fall happened on the sidewalk.

A Dayton woman said $20 in gas was taken from her while she was parked at the pump at 8:38 p.m. Oct. 29 at a Mayfield Road gas station. Police said the manager placed credit on the wrong pump and corrected the problem.

A woman said she went home to get ready for work at 6:54 a.m. Oct. 29 and her boyfriend was spitting at her and yelling. Police said there were no signs of violence and another person showed up at the Ridgeview Road residence to keep the pair away from each other.
