Police Blotter: Man Told it's a Computer Drop Off, Not Pick Up

A man was scavenging around the computer parts dropped off at the city service garage at 10:17 a.m. April 23. He was told not to return.

Citywide power outages were reported at about 5:15 a.m. April 28.

An East Glengary resident told police at 8:02 a.m. April 27 that a man came by her house the previous night to ask about it being for sale. She told him to contact a real estate agent and he was not interested in doing that. She said that the man's actions were suspicious.

A white Buick was in a ditch at 3:59 a.m. April 27 on Interstate 271 at Wilson Mills Road. The driver, a 36-year-old woman, had a head injury and was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.

A Dewitt Drive resident reported at 2:00 p.m. April 26 that an unknown animal was burrowing under the sidewalk near his home.

A dead deer was in the roadway at 11:37 a.m. April 25 at Rose Boulevard and Wilson Mills Road.

A Miner Road resident called police at 8:44 p.m. April 23 after the front door was opened slightly and then closed. She said she went to see who it was and the doorknob turned while in her hand, but she opened the door and no one was there.  Police checked the area and were unable to find anyone.

A tour bus driver was at a Wilson Mills Road gas station at 5:17 a.m. April 24 with an intoxicated passenger who was refusing to get off the bus. A family member was contacted and the man was driving to a Miner Road residence.

A two-car accident was reported at 11:07 p.m. April 21 on Avion Drive. A caller said a woman was injured and lying on the ground. The woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. Police cited a driver for lack of full time and attention.
