Police Blotter: Man Posed as Gas Company Worker in Attempt to Enter Home

Information supplied by the Highland Heights Police Department.

A Brainard Road woman called police at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 2 and said a man posing as a Dominion East Ohio person came to her door with a shutoff notice. She didn't let him in and the gas was not shut off. She then called the company and was told no one was sent to her home.

Pumpkins were thrown at the door of a house at 12:54 a.m. Nov. 3 on Oakview Drive.

A motorist complained about being stuck in traffic on at 3:26 p.m. Nov. 2 on Bishop Road because there was no flagger. Police checked and a flagger was back in the construction zone for the rest of the day.

A woman called at 7 a.m. Nov. 1 after hitting a deer on Interstate 271. Police gave the woman a ride to work and her car was towed.
