Police Blotter: Malfunctioning Car Alarm Proves Costly

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

A SOM Center Road resident reported at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 12 that someone went through her car and took her insurance card and registration, iPod hook up and cell charger. She left the car unlocked because she was having problems with the alarm.

A caller saw two small dogs running loose at 6:49 a.m. on Lander Road between Ridgebury Boulevard and Wilson Mills Road. Another caller said she hit a dog on Lander, but it kept running.

County public works employees wanted help with traffic at 11:19 a.m. Oct. 12 at Lander and Wilson Mills roads, but were unsure if the corner they were working on was in Mayfield Village or Highland Heights.

A man came to the police station at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 11 to report that a .45-caliber Magnum handgun was stolen out of his car on Beta Drive.

Management of an Aintree Park Drive apartment building wanted help with a resident who is leaving her gas stove on and letting it click.
