Police Blotter: Juveniles Tossed Grates Down Sewer

Two callers at about 8 p.m. May 12 said a group of boys removed grates on Leverett Lane on dropped them inside the sewer. Police caught up with the juveniles on Longspur and the sewer district was contacted regarding the covers. Police talked to the parents of one boy and cones were placed at each area were the covers were gone. A report was filed for criminal mischief.

A man called at 11:02 p.m. May 11 to report that occupants of a black Chevy Cobalt threw eggs at him while he was in front of a house on North Applecross. However, he did not want to speak to a police officer.

A bird was injured after falling from its nest on May 11 and a Williamsburg Drive resident wanted to talk to an officer about the bird.

A woman came to the police station lobby at 2:31 p.m. May 11 and said she just escaped after being held captive by her husband on West Legend Court. Police said the woman had a visibly swollen eye and bruising. Police arrested the husband, who was charge with domestic violence.
