Police Blotter: Hours of Late-Night Power Washing Bother Caller

A caller at 1:23 a.m. April 3 complained that employees at Sonic Drive-In on Mayfield Road had been using a power washer since 11 p.m. Police spoke to an employee who said he would be done cleaning the drive-through in five minutes.

A Mayfield Road resident called police at 8:20 p.m. April 1 because she was concerned about occupants in her building throwing cigarette butts over a balcony. She thought it might start the grass, shrubs or mulch on fire.

A group of teenagers appeared to have a kid in the back of white Toyota Corolla at 5:28 p.m. April 1 in the Walmart lot, a caller reported. They were gone when police checked the area.

A 4-year-old boy was found by the trash bins at 8:48 a.m. April 1 at a SOM Center Road apartment building. Police found the boy's mother and he was returned to her.

A county social services worker called on March 30 and said that $60 was stolen from three women with mental disabilities who live on Longwood Drive. She didn't want to file a report, but needed the incident logged.

A suspicious man was going door-to-door at 5:22 p.m. March 29 on Orchard Heights and asking people if he could go on their roofs and do an inspection.
