Police Blotter: Horn Honker Told to Knock on Door

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

A caller said someone was honking a horn continuously at 6:17 p.m. Dec. 28 on Worton Boulevard. The person in question told police he was trying to get his friends to come out and go to the mall. Police told him to knock on the door next time.

A case with five cue sticks was reported stolen Dec. 29 from Danny Vehg's on Mayfield Road.

An irate woman was threatening to destroy the computer system at a Mayfield Road business at 4:06 p.m. Dec. 29. She was unhappy with service that was provided in fixing her phone and was told it was a civil matter.

The manager of a Mayfield Road apartment building called police at 3:03 p.m. Dec. 29 and wanted to talk about issues regarding a resident who said someone threw a liquid off a balcony at him and the substance was possibly urine. The victim told police he did not want to press charges.

The driver of a blue Hyundai threw something out of the car at 12:06 a.m. Dec. 29 on Mayfield Road. Police spoke to four men who said they had been throwing snowballs.

A clerk saw a woman steal a purse at 4:11 p.m. Dec. 28 at World Market at Golden Gate Plaza. Police caught the woman at Mayfield Road near the Interstate 271 bridges.

An East MIner Road resident called at 7:51 p.m. Dec. 27 and said a boy who had been harassing her on the school bus threw a snowball at her house.
