Police Blotter: Facebook Message Provides Lead on Stolen Phone

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

A woman called police at 5:55 p.m. Sept. 26 and wanted to speak to a police officer about her stolen cell phone. She received a message on Facebook that the person who stole the phone was trying to sell it.

A Woodhurst Avenue resident called police at 9:34 p.m. Sept. 27 and asked police to talk to neighbors who were having sex on their porch. She told police it was the house with the porch light on. Police said the residents at the house refused to answer the door.

A woman was trying to get out of a silver Toyota and a man kept pulling her back in at 12:33 p.m. Sept. 27 on Mayfield Road. Police said it was a verbal argument. The woman, however, was arrested on a warrant out of Bedford Heights.

An officer spotted a large hole in the road at 5:56 p.m. Sept. 26 at Parker Drive and Marsol Road. A plate covering the hole had shifted. A service department worker was told about the problem.
