Police Blotter: Dog Abandoned in Church Parking Lot

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

A caller said his fiance saw a dog get abandoned at 11 a.m. Dec. 8 at a church on SOM Center Road. A van pulled in the parking lot and a door was opened to let the dog out. He said his landlord doesn't allow dogs and the shelters he called were all full. The animal warden was called and picked up the dog, a Labrador mix with light brown spots.

An Oakwood Drive resident called at 12:57 p.m. Dec. 9 and said a man was exposing himself and urinating in the caller's yard. The suspect jumped in a black BWM driven by a woman and both were in their late teens or early 20s. Police stopped the car at Wilson Mills Road and Beta Drive and arrested the man and woman, who was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.

A woman came to the police station at 1:59 a.m. Dec. 7 about an employee problem. She fired a man and he filed a report with another police department stating that he had been threatened. She was concerned about what he might do and was told to call if the man returned to the SOM Center Road business.

A woman at the police station at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 6 said she had been hit by a car while walking on North Commons Boulevard. The driver stopped to make sure she was OK and then drove away.
