Police Blotter: Deer Was Trapped by Pool Cover

Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department.

A Gates Mills Boulevard resident called police at 8:32 p.m. May 17 and said a deer was trapped on the cover of his neighbor's pool. Police were able to set the animal free.

A 911 caller reported an accident at 5:56 p.m. May 14 at Mayfield Road and West Hill Drive. The crash involved two cars and one of the drivers, a 28-year-old woman from Huntsburg, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. The other driver, a 16-year-old Gates Mills girl, was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.

A woman called police at 9:18 a.m. May 15 to report a burglary at the house she was temporarily living in on County Line Road. She said someone forced their way inside in the past week and stole several items. The incident is under investigation.

An accident was reported at 9:52 a.m. May 19 on Brigham Road. No one was injured in the two-car crash. One of the drivers, a 92-year-old Lyndhurst man, was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.
