Police Blotter: Crime Victim Apparently Being Taunted With Photos

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman said she was sent pictures on her cell phone from an unknown person at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 19. The photos were of items in her apartment and her sliding glass door had been shattered the previous day.

An elderly man fell while putting out trash at 5:57 a.m. Feb. 18 on Lander Road. Neighbors tried to help him up, but were unable to do so. Fire department personnel were sent to the scene, but the man did not want to be taken to a hospital.

A truck driver was advised at 7:17 a.m. Feb. 18 that he will be cited if he parks his semi behind Walgreens on Mayfield Road again.

A caller reported that a skunk was walking around the area at 9:55 a.m. Feb. 18 on Summit Drive. He said there might be something wrong with the animal because it kept stopping and lying down for a while every few minutes.

A construction worker reported at 12:36 p.m. Feb. 18 that a car pulled into the lot at Mayfield Road and Orchard Heights and threatened workers. An officer spoke to the suspect about the complaint.

A woman driving southbound on Interstate 271 at 2:36 p.m. Feb. 19 said the car behind her was hit. The woman whose car had been hit told police that the other driver told her to pull into a lot, but took off northbound on I-271. Police stopped the man's car on Wilson Mills Road and police took him back to the accident scene.

A woman said a pit bull tried attacking her and a child at 11:49 a.m. Feb. 20 as they tried to enter a Maplewood Road building. Officers picked up the dog, which its owner retrieved at the station and was cited for having an animal at large.

Power lines were on fire near the middle school on SOM Center Road at 7:02 p.m. Feb. 20. The power company was advised about the problem.

A Belrose Road resident heard an explosion and power went out at 1:37 a.m. Feb. 21. FirstEnergy was contacted about the problem.

A transformer blew on a pole in a Ridgebury Boulevard back yard at 3:56 a.m. Feb. 21. Electricity was out, but there was no immediate danger, police said.

A Gaslight Lane resident requested special attention be given to her residence Feb. 14 due to an increase in telemarketing calls, particularly one very insistent caller.

Threatening text messages were sent Feb. 15 to employees at a Landerhaven Drive hotel by a woman who had been fired the previous night.

Occupants of a car were shooting toy guns at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 on Chelmsford Road. The Airsoft guns were confiscated and police talked to the boys' parents.
