Police Blotter: Community Policing Patrols Finding Open Garages
Information supplied by the Highland Heights Police Department
Officers left notices at homes on Belwood and Kenbridge drives at about 12:50 a.m. Aug. 15. On Belwood, a car was left unlocked and the garage door was left open. On Kenbridge, a garage door was left open, but two cars in the drive were locked.
Police left a note regarding an unlocked car and open garage at 1:21 a.m. Aug. 15 on Franklin Boulevard.
An officer noticed an open garage door at 1:46 a.m. Aug. 15 on Oakview Drive and left a note informing the resident.
A light was on in a garage left open at 2:34 a.m. Aug. 15 on Coldstream Road. Police checked with the resident and everything was OK.
A Strumbly Drive resident called at 10:16 a.m. Aug. 14 and said a Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen overnight.
A Highland Road woman called police at 9:20 a.m. Aug. 13 because she heard what sounded like a bird in her water heater pipe. Police said the woman needed to change a battery in a smoke detector.
