Police Blotter: Car Left by Driver Afraid of Snowy Roads

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

A woman called police at 8:17 p.m. Jan. 14 and said she was afraid to drive on the snowy roads and wanted to leave her car in the pool lot on North Commons Boulevard.

A 911 caller at 9:39 a.m. Jan. 16 was transferred to Mayfield Heights to report that a woman fell outside Marc's at Eastgate.

Police stopped a car at 4:21 p.m. Jan. 15 on Wilson Mills Road and told the driver that the brake lights were stuck on. He told the officer he was on the way to a friend's house to have him look at the problem.

The sensor for the left turn lane from Alpha Drive to Wilson Mills Road was not working at 12:30 a.m. Jan. 15. The traffic signal was set to flash until the sensor could be repaired.

A patrolman reported that he hit a deer while on the way to work at 6:17 p.m. Jan. 14 on SOM Center Road. He said the deer was running from east to west in the area of the softball fields.
