Police Blotter: An Accident That Could Have Been Worse

Information provided by the Gates Mills Police Department

A Gates Mills woman veered off Brigham Rd. and struck a tree the evening of Oct. 26. No one was injured in the single-car crash. The driver, 19, said she took evasive action to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

Single-car accident: An Aurora man drove his truck off the roadway and struck a split-rail fence on Mayfield Rd. the morning of Oct. 24. No one was injured in the crash, but the driver, 49, was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

Turn it down, please: A Hillcreek Lane resident was told to turn down some loud music after police responded to a call in the early morning hours of Oct. 21. The resident agreed to lower the volume.

No more barking: A caller reported that West Hill Dr. resident had continually left a barking dog outside the home the afternoon of Oct. 22. The dog’s owner was told of the complaint and agreed to bring the pet inside the home.
