Police Arrest Man Wanted in Virginia: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

Incidents reported July 24-25:

Angry solicitors: A Beachwood Police officer who happened to be in the area around 6:30 p.m. on July 24 called Mayfield Heights Police to inform them of solicitors outside Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Two women were asking customers for money to support a homeless shelter for women. According to the reporting officer, they were being "very aggressive" with people who declined to support their cause.

Wanted in Virginia: Mayfield Heights police arrested a man early July 25 and learned that he was wanted in another state.

A manager at Fox and Hound called police just after midnight to report a disturbance the drunk man had caused. Police found him walking on SOM Center Road. Police discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest out of Richmond, Va.
