Office Max Theft: Mayfield Heights Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department

Incidents reported in late March:

Office Max Theft: Police received a call regarding a theft at OfficeMax in the Golden Gate shopping plaza at 1:49 p.m. on March 28.

The unspecified amount of office equipment was missing by the time employees arrived that day. Police were unable to identify any suspects in the incident believed to have occurred some time on March 27.

Aiding Columbus: Mayfield Heights Police tried helping the Columbus Police Department on in finding suspects in a recent robbery in the state's capital.

The suspects were believed to be in or around Gates Mills Place. Police checked the lots of the towers around 11:30 a.m., but were unable to locate the suspects' vehicle.

Exchange at the Station: Two Mayfield Heights residents had to visit the police department to make an exchange on March 28.

A woman called to report a man who had taken her phone. Able to reach her on another phone, the man told her he would not return it because she had previously taken his shoes and seemingly had no plans to return them.

Police invited the man to the station, and the two exchanged the phone and shoes in the lobby.

However, the same woman reported slashed tires between 5 and 5:40 p.m. on April 1.
