Family, Friends Ask Police to Locate 'Missing' Gates Mills Residents: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Gates Mills Police Department

Reports from July 1-6:

Concerned wife
: A Gates Mills Estates resident called the Gates Mills Police Department at 2:43 p.m. July 1 to report her 82-year-old husband as missing.

The woman was concerned because it had been hours since her husband's dentist appointment and he had not returned. Police later located him at the Hillcrest YMCA.

Where are you?: A woman called Gates Mills Police with concerns about her friends who live in the village that she had not been able to contact.

By July 5, the woman said she made numerous attempts over the past few days to call, but had no luck reaching the Gates Road family. A Gates Mills officer paid the residents a visit and learned that they had been having phone problems.

Noisy neighbor: A Foxhill Drive resident called police bright and early on July 6 to file a noise complaint.

The resident called at 7:21 a.m. because his neighbor had been using chainsaws and other noisy tools since 6 a.m. The man agreed to follow the village's noise ordinance after he was questioned by police.
