Matthew Cepik Indicted on 11 Charges Related from Labor Day Stabbings

Cepik is out of the hospital and in Cuyahoga County Jail

Matthew Cepik has been indicted on 11 charges related to the stabbing of three people early Labor Day morning at Golden Gate Villa.

Cepik, 28, was indicted Thursday in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He was previously listed as critical condition at Hillcrest Hospital after he was hit by a box truck in Solon in the hours after the stabbing.

The Iraqi war veteran was indicted on: 

  • Three counts of attempted murder
  • One aggravated burglary charge
  • Six counts of felonious assault (two for each victim)
  • One charge of tampering with evidence
Cepik's arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.
