Man Turns Himself In After Stealing $1,000 Worth of iPhones

A Euclid man surrendered to police after he stole more than $1,000 worth of Apple iPhones from his employer.

Mayfield Heights Police had been looking for 21-year-old Vincent Lewis after Target security said a guard failed at stopping him from leaving his job on June 10 with the phones. According to the police report, Lewis was seen hopping the fence to Schnurman House, where his car was parked and later towed.

Lt. Chris Sonnhalter said Lewis got away that night but came to the police station a few days later. He was arrested on a warrant for fifth-degree felony theft. He was then transported to Cuyahoga County Jail.

Court records show Lewis posted a $2,500 bond. His case is set for early charging and disposition by July 17. He faces up to a year behind bars.
