Huntington Banks in Mayfield Heights Receive Bomb Threats: Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Station.

Incidents reported in late June:

Bomb threats: Two Mayfield Road banks received three bomb threats around 2:30 p.m. on June 21.

The unknown caller contacted the Huntington Bank at 6321 Mayfield Road and the location within Giant Eagle. According to Mayfield Heights Police, one call included the person saying that a bomb had already been placed in another nearby branch and that employees "better evacuate."

Managers told police that employees were aware of the situation and would call if anything looked suspicious, but they ended up not needing to.

Angry Ridgeview resident: A woman told Mayfield Heights Police she was driving down Parker Drive with her 12-year-old son when a man outside unexpectedly began yelling at her around 10 a.m. on June 22.

The incident angered the woman enough to tell an officer, who later went to the man's home on Ridgeview Road. The man told police he was upset because people had been using Parker as a through street.

The officer told the man to call police next time instead of yelling at drivers.
