Highland Heights Fire Department Has Open House
Tour fire station from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Fire Department will have the fire station and equipment open for tours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 5827 Highland Rd.
Fire personnel will answer questions and demonstrate services and equipment such as a 12-lead electrocardiogram, ventilation equipment and turnout gear. HAZMAT and technical rescue team vehicles will also be displayed.
There will be a fire safety house to teach children about fire safety and how to exit a home in an emergency.
Fire prevention handouts will also be available and provide information about smoke detectors, carbon monoxide monitors, fire safety checklists and home exit drills.
