Drunk, Naked Man Found Behind Gates Mills Home: Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department.

Incidents reported June 9 to June 14:

Crash on Gates Mills: Gates Mills Police responded to a two-car crash June 9 on Gates Mills Boulevard.

The crash, which occurred just after 3 p.m., involved a 44-year-old man from Cleveland Heights and an 18-year-old woman from Hudson. The man was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for injuries, while the woman was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign. 

What is he doing? A SOM Center Road resident called Gates Mills Police at 10:35 p.m. June 11 to report a suspicious person in the woods behind his home, though he was unsure was the person was doing.

Reporting officers soon found a drunk, naked man in the wooded area.  The 53-year-old man from South Euclid was charged with disorderly conduct.

Stolen beams: A contractor working on a Cardinal Lane property called police on June 14 to report a theft that took place at some point while the crew was not working.

The contractor said somebody stole three steel beams at some point between June 13 and 14 from the job site. The incident remains under investigation.
