Drunk Man With No Pants Sleeps on Hillcrest Bench: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter

The Mayfield Heights Police Department supplied the following information.

Incidents reported July 3-4:

Patriotic with no pants: A man was seen sleeping on a bench in the waiting area of Hillcrest Hospital just hours before the Fourth of July. The only problem with this was that he was wearing no pants to go with his red, white and blue shirt, according to a Mayfield Heights Police call log.

A hospital patrolman asked the man to leave the hospital. Mayfield Heights Police arrived about 20 minutes later to check on the man's welfare. The man was found in the restroom and highly intoxicated. Hillcrest agreed to admit him because of his condition.

Fraudulent failure: At 12:40 p.m. on July 3, a woman tried to cash a fraudulent check for more than $2,000 at Checksmart, 5885 Mayfield Road.

Stealing and running: The Loss Prevention Department at Best Buy reported that a man stole a few video games from the store at 11:44 a.m. on July 4.

According to police, Raymonde Lamonte Burley had run from Best Buy to the rear of Bob Evans, but a store manager found and confronted him outside. The man gave the games back, but the store still wanted the man to face prosecution. Police arrested Burley in front of the restaurant.
