If your child were missing, you'd ask the police to keep searching

If your child were kidnapped, what would you tell the police? 

A child in my neighborhood, Amber Swartz-Garcia, then 7 years old, was kidnapped many years ago.  Although several people were considered as suspects and a person in jail "confessed," Amber has never be found and there there has never been anyone charged with a crime.
