Rain Barrel Workshop Acacia Reservation (World Water Day)

Learn how to harvest rainwater for all of your garden needs and to combat storm water pollution in your community by constructing a rain barrel!  Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District, City of Lyndhurst and Friends of Euclid Creek will host a Rain Barrel Workshop Saturday, March 22nd from 10:00-11:30am at the Cleveland Metroparks Acacia Reservation (26899 Cedar Road, 44124) as part of the Metroparks Your Piece of the Planet East event series.  The $60 fee includes a 60 gallon barrel, all materials and downspout diverter.  Registration is required by Friday, March 14.

A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.

To register for this workshop, or for more information, contact the Euclid Creek Watershed Coordinator at 216-524-6580x16 or cposius@cuyahogaswcd.org by March 19.
