Extremely cold weather is settling into Northeast Ohio and staying for several days.
Through Wednesday morning, accumulations of four to eight inches are expected, with temperatures ranging from 2 degrees to 10 degrees above zero. Winds are from the west at 10 mph to 15 mph, with gusts of up to 25 mph. Wind chill is expected to drop to 15 below zero.
The National Weather Service warns that driving may be very slow, impossible or hazardous with highly variable road conditions. It may be clear skies in one place, with blowing snow and near-zero visibility a few miles away.
Temps are not expected to climb into the 30s until Monday.
