New Panera Location to Open in August
The new location will feature a drive-thru window
A new and improved Panera Bread location is coming to Mayfield Heights.
Construction has commenced at 6036 Mayfield Road, where the new eatery will open in late August, a Panera spokeswoman confirmed.
Unlike the current location at Golden Gate Plaza, the new one will be a free-standing structure. It will also feature a drive-thru window.

The new, 4,000-square-foot structure is being built at the former site of El Rodeo Mexican restaurant.
The current staff at Golden Gate is expected to make the move to the new location near the Mayfield-Lander intersection. Additional staff may be added, as well.

The new Panera is one of eight to open this year in Northeast Ohio. The company just opened a new location Sheffield Village. A location in Brunswick is expected to precede Mayfield Heights.
