Mayfield Village Memorial Day Ceremony Set for Sunday
The event with speakers, songs and flags takes place a day before the holiday
Mayfield Village will celebrate the upcoming holiday a day earlier than it takes place.
The village's Memorial Day ceremony is set for 1 p.m. Sunday at Whitehaven Memorial Park on SOM Center Road. The event will feature a full slate of speakers, singers, readings and flags.
Flags for each military branch and the color guard will be escorted by the Greater Lake County Young Marines and Boy Scout Troop 289. Mayfield Middle School student Sweta Dacca will sing the national anthem, "Amazing Grace" and lead the closing song, "I'm Proud to be an American."

- Mayfield Village Mayor Bruce Rinker
- Commander Michael Zacher, Post 1959
- Michelle Davey, Community Relations Director of Emeritus Willoughby
