Great Escape: See the Dream House in Concord

Big decision: Would you rather have a veritable dream home in the hills and dales of Concord Township’s Nature Preserve South subdivision or $200,000 cash? Someone is going to have to make that choice Sunday, Aug. 21, and it might as well be you.

Of course, you might like to see the 18th annual Lake County YMCA Dream House before you make that decision. Oh, not just see. You’ll want to scrutinize the 2,700-square-foot floor plan, mull over the eclectic color scheme, and imagine your dream family singing show tunes as they manicure the elegantly landscaped yard, complete with fire pit.

There is a catch. You must buy a ticket to see the Dream House, $12 each or $30 for three, to be entered in the drawing for the house – or the cash.  Purchase tickets on site, online or by phone, 440-354-5656.  Tours start Friday, June 24, and continue every day through Sunday, Aug. 14. Hours are noon to 8 p.m.
