We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

 You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box.

Bunny Lunch

Just for Teens - Anime Manga

Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library Mayfield Branch, 6080 Wilson Mills Road, Thursday, 3:15 p.m.
Why Go: Watch anime and discuss your favorite shows and books
Price: Free

Stroller Science

Where/When: Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation Nature Center, Tuesday, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
Why Go: Discover what animals at the reservation have wings and take a short hike to try and find them – for ages 2 and under with an adult
Price: Free

Game Night

Where/When: Mayfield Middle School, 1123 SOM Center Road, Friday, 6-8 p.m.
Why Go: Volleyball, basketball, ping pong and dancing
Price: $8 in advance, $9 at the door
