We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.
Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week. You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.
Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. We want to hear from you!

Gates Awesome Teens
Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library Gates Mills Branch, 1491 Chagrin River Road, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday
Why Go: Gates Awesome Teens will be making bookmarks for senior citizens. The group is open to students in grades five and up

Puppets in the Park
Where/When: Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation Nature Center, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: The Naturepiece Theatre puppets and Puppetry Guild of Northeast Ohio will present puppet shows, crafts and a puppet-making workshop

Pop Into Spring
Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library Mayfield Branch, 6080 Wilson Mills Road, 10 a.m. Saturday
Why Go: Learn the basics of paper engineering and creating a pop-up book with author/illustrator Laurie Lazzaro Knowlton
