Excessive Heat Warning in Effect Until 9 p.m.
Temperature could reach 100 degrees tonight
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning effective from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today across the Midwest.
The warning is in effect for all of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois; and most of Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri and Kansas.
Temperatures could reach 100 degrees tonight in the Greater Cleveland area and heat index values are expected to be between 105 and 120. NWS warns that this prolonged stretch of heat poses a significant risk of heat illnesses.
