American Red Cross comes to Mayfield Village Civic Center

The American Red Cross held a blood drive at Mayfield Village Civic Center on Monday and got a few more participants than they intended.

Organizers at the door said they expected some 28 pre-registered people to show up, but with several walk-in donors, they were up to 35 by 5:30 p.m.

The event was scheduled to end at 7 p.m. with much of the evening crowd yet to arrive.
