5 Things You Need To Know For This Week
Council meetings, fireworks, a bridge re-opening are all part of a big local week
1. Mayfield Heights City Council, 7:30 p.m., tonight: Council had a regularly-scheduled meeting set about two weeks ago, but a lack of an agenda cancelled it. But a meeting is on the agenda this evening in council chambers.
2. Highland Heights City Council, 8 p.m., Tuesday: Council continues working with the developers of the Shoppes at Brainard Crossing project. Also, more work is being done with the rezoning of the Highland Medical Center.
3. Mayfield Village, Town Hall Meeting, 7 p.m., Tuesday: Mayor Bruce Rinker and Finance Director Ronald Wynne are scheduled to give an update on the village’s current financial state and plans for capital expenditures in 2012.

4. Mayfield Village, Fireworks, 9-11 p.m., Saturday: A fireworks display will be held near the Mayfield Village Gazebo.
5. Gates Mills, Re-Opening Old Mill Road Bridge, Tuesday: The bridge is expected to re-open this week in time for the Fourth of July festivities. The bridge was closed in April for painting and sandblasting.
