Development agreement provides site for new library

Mayfield Village Council amended a development agreement with Progressive Insurance. The changes included a land swap that gave a 5-acre site that can be used for the new home of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Mayfield Branch.

Hotel now a Comfort Inn

Owners spent $800,000 on renovations in converting the former Baymont Inn & Suites into a Comfort Inn.

Locked door at public meeting called an oversight

Highland Heights Mayor Scott Coleman said someone forgot to unlock a door, which kept a resident from attending a meeting of the Charter Review Commission. The door was eventually opened when a commission member left during the meeting.
