You don't have to stay at the Holiday Inn to enjoy Alfredo's

Holiday Inn has been a fixture at the intersection of Wilson Mills Road/Beta Drive and Interstate 271. The hotel has undergone updates, face-lifts and even a new sign. People often think of the Holiday Inn for catering, weddings or business meeting like the latest Business-to-Business Networking meeting.

However, if you are from the Hillcrest area and used to seeing the hotel, you might overlook a gem of a restaurant inside the complex. provides a lot more than dining for hotel guests.

If you are looking to meet for a business lunch, or get a table all to yourself stop in Monday through Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.. The lunch menu includes Italian-inspired selections such as wedding soup, pasta fagioli, brick oven pizza, toscano salad and antipasto. American standards like barbecue wings, and classic sandwiches round out your choices.

Dinner offers many of the lunch choices as appetizers or for a lighter appetite, but supplements it with carne (meat), pesce (seafood), pasta, and, of course, Specialities della Casa.

Beef Braciola is traditional, yet innovative. It is a sirloin stuffed with ground beef, hardboiled egg, and mozzarella, roasted in tomato sauce.

Seafood includes clams, shrimp, calamari, halibut and salmon. Some are prepared in an Italian style, while others are served grilled.

The specialties of the house are chicken and veal parmigiana, marsala and even tripe. Spaghettini, penne, linguine start off the pasta choices. Other options include ravioli, broccolini, and pesto pasta.
