Cleveland Clinic Names New Hillcrest President

Dr. Brian Harte, who was president of South Pointe Hospital, will become Hillcrest's president in September

As part of a sweeping leadership restructuring of its regional hospitals, Cleveland Clinic named a new president of Hillcrest Hospital on Thursday.

Effective, Sept. 1, Dr. Brian Harte will leave South Pointe Hospital to become Hillcrest Hospital's new president, according to a statement from the Clinic. Before holding that position at South Pointe, Harte was chief operating officer at Hillcrest. 

Jeff Leimgruber, who has been president of Hillcrest since 2006, is leaving Cleveland Clinic. He began is Cleveland Clinic career in 1997 as the division of operations administrator at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus.

In all, Cleveland Clinic announced 10 leadership changes on Thursday. The Clinic deemed the changes "part of a natural transition in leadership and will position Cleveland Clinic to better meet the needs of a growing organization and to manage the new model of care resulting from healthcare reform."    

Harte has been on the medical staff at Hillcrest since 2006 and will continue to see patients there.
