Stuff the Bus Event Continues at Landerhaven Kindercare

KinderCare, WEWS and Mayfield City Schools will give donated school supplies to families in need.

The staff at Landerhaven Kindercare hopes today ends with a stuffed bus in the parking lot.

The child care facility is one of 35 in Northeast Ohio engaging in day two of the Stuff the Bus drive. The event at 200 Allen Bradley Drive seeks to collect school supplies that will be given to families in need within the Mayfield City Schools district.

"We're hoping to get more (today) and every little bit helps," director Sara Michael said. "With 35 centers, we're thinking this will be a good haul."

People interested in donating can drop supplies off until KinderCare closes for the day at 6:30 p.m. So far, Landerhaven has backpacks, crayons and binders.

KinderCare partnered with WEWS Channel 5 for Stuff the Bus.
