Mayfield Schools Earns "A" on State Report Card

Mayfield High School, middle school and Millridge Elementary School all received 100 percent grades.

Mayfield City Schools has more than just a new school year celebrate.

The district received an "A" grade on its report card from the Ohio Department of Education. The grade is good for 100 percent score.

The district also met all of the 24 indicators listed on the state report card.

"We know strong schools and strong communities go hand-in-hand, and together we work to protect our proud tradition," Superintendent Dr. Keith Kelley wrote in a statement.

The district listed some of the highlights from its card:

  • Third grade reading test scores increased by 5.8 percent
  • The four-year graduation rate improved by 3.3 percent
Focus areas for district improvement include math and science instruction at the upper elementary school levels and professional development and strategies.
