Hawken Seniors Win $2,500 Internship from Avitae

The students analyzed the purchase, branding and marketing of caffeinated drinks and presented to Avitae representatives.

Four Hawken School seniors won a $2,500 internship after they analyzed the purchasing, branding and marketing of caffeinated drinks.

The winners—Annie Gries, Will Mascaro, Amanda Trau and Alex Stotter—presented their findings to caffeinated water company Avitae. The presentation from "Team Eat Grit" was part of the HawkENtrepreneurs program, which has awarded $10,000 in internships since it began.

"The work the students did was amazing. Especially Team Eat Grit's side-by-side hypothesis test," said Avitae Board member Pete Rome, who graduated from Hawken in 1977. "We're thrilled to have the students on board and look forward to working out the details of continuing the students’ work."
