Photo Gallery: Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshop at the North Chagrin Valley Reservation

Eight Scouts collect flora and fauna from the Metropark.

The young men were participating in the nature merit badge workshop Saturday at the . They were intent on finding rocks, seeds, leaves and other items to submit to Reservation naturalist and Boy Scout merit badge counselor Mindy Murdock.

Requirements for the badge include indentifying eight species of birds and three species of mammals. Some of that work was accomplished with a trip to the Reservation's Education Center. The Scouts sat inside and watched birds come to feeders behind the center's building.
