Week in Review: Wildcat Park, Mayfield Loses, Obama Cancels Visit, Anderson’s Offense, SCORE
Here’s what happened in the Mayfield-Hillcrest area this week.
Wildcat Park – Mayfield City School board members said they were quite pleased with the Wildcat Park project after a tour of the premises on Wednesday afternoon before its grand opening this upcoming Saturday.
Mayfield Loses – Willoughby South’s Kareem Hunt smashed his way to 310 yards on 28 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Rebels handled the Wildcats, 56-35, in a non-conference game Friday night.
Obama Cancels Visit – President Barack Obama's appearance in Cleveland got canceled as he planned to speak at an 11th Congressional District Labor Day event Monday morning and decided instead to go to Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Isaac.
Anderson’s Offense – Hawken running back Khari Anderson has been adjusting well to his new role as an offensive threat for the Hawks.
SCORE – Patch is pleased to announce a new partnership with SCORE, a nonprofit organization with 12,000 business experts nationwide who provide free mentoring to small business owners.
